
Testing Begins On Waste For the Vit plant
The stainless steel tank that will help resolve mixing issues for radioactive waste at the Hanford vitrification plant arrived at Richland after a two and a half day trip up the Columbia River from Vancouver. Staci West from Bechtel National says the 65-ton tank will help test the process for vitrifying waste. Testing will start at the end of the year and be completed in 2017.
