Study: Largest NW cities best to celebrate the Fourth of July

The best cities to celebrate America's independence are in the Northwest according to a new poll by WalletHub.

Analyst Jill Gonzalez says Portland ranked 5th and Seattle ranked 1st nationwide.

"Seattle ranked very highly when it came to the number of attractions, the number of festivals and parades, those attractions and the things you can do there, especially when it comes to the prevalence of affordable 4 1/2 star restaurants, or a cheaper hotel option," says Gonzalez.

The sunny weather also played a role in the high ranking.
