OLYMPIA, Wash. - Governor Jay Inslee extended the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order this afternoon. The order will now go until May 4th. Inslee said of the impact COVID-19 has made in our state, "We have an obligation to ourselves and to our loved ones to recognize that this is a long road ahead of us."

The number of deaths and confirmed cases has roughly doubled since the first order that came from the Governor's Office. Over 250 Washingtonians have died and over 6000 Washingtonians have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

"We unfortunately have yet to see the full weight of this virus in our state. This order is not only justified, it is morally necessary," said Inslee.

Modeling done at the University of Washington predicts that we will have over 1,000 deaths in our state.
