Son of Franklin County murder victim arrested at US-Mexico border

The son of a Franklin County woman missing and presumed dead since March was arrested by border patrol agents on Friday while trying to re-enter the United States from Mexico.

Clemente Rodriguez Torres is being held in San Diego, awaiting extradition to Franklin County to face murder charges.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office issued warrants against Torres and his father, Tiburcio Larios Rodriguez, in connection with disappearance of Estela Torres Rodriguez.

She was reported missing March 28th, and detectives believe she was murdered. Her Franklin County home had obvious signs of homicide, but her body has never been found.

Investigators are still looking for Larios Rodriguez, who is also wanted on murder warrant.
