Probable COVID-19 cases rise significantly in the Tri-Cities area
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Today, the Benton Franklin Health District reported a significant increase in probable COVID-19 cases. Additional information was received that connected previous suspect cases, with lab-confirmed cases.
The number of cases now stands at 408 in the Tri-Cities region. 107 of those cases are listed as probable because of their connection with someone who tested positive for the virus. That number is up from 78 probable cases just yesterday.
Long-term care facilities continue to struggle with preventing the spread of the coronavirus including Life Care Richland, which has 84 cases.
The Health District announced 5 new deaths in the area bringing the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in our area to 27.
