Oregon to Auction Off Items From Abandoned Safe Deposit Boxes

(Salem, OR) -- The Oregon State Treasury will celebrate National Unclaimed Property Day with a live auction later this week. The state will sell items from abandoned safe deposit boxes. Capitol Auction & Estate Services will host the auction starting at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 3rd.

The money goes into the Common School Fund with the interest going to K through 12 public schools in Oregon.
