OR Gov Brown Declares WX State of Emergency
(Salem, OR) -- Governor Kate Brown is declaring a state of emergency ahead of the severe winter storm expected to hit Oregon over the Christmas weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of the state starting tomorrow night and lasting until Monday morning. Up to six inches could fall in the Portland area, all the way down to the southern state line. State officials are warning residents to have supplies on hand in case of extended closures, and to limit travel as much as possible.
