One new death associated with COVID-19 reported by BFHD

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A woman in her 70s from Benton County died, due to complications from the coronavirus. This death now brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in our counties, to 6.

The Benton Franklin Health District announced Tuesday afternoon that there are now 122 lab-confirmed positive tests in our region, 89 of which are reported in Benton County. The District also says there are 45 cases that are people who are linked to another with a lab-confirmed positive test.

Numbers that indicate how many negative tests we have in the area, have not been released yet. The last known number is 754 negative lab tests for coronavirus. Officials say they cannot track the number of people who have recovered from the virus.
