(Asotin, WA) -- Construction is paused at a home in Eastern Washington after crews discovered Native American human remains on the property. Crews were performing excavation work on the property in Asotin County when they found the remains. The police were called, and the Washington state archaeologist examined the remains. Their age and items found with the remains indicate they're Native American. The Nez Perce Tribe has been notified. The property owner says it would be wrong to desecrate the burial site and that he's waiting to see what the Nez Perce Tribe wants to do.
