Local Judge Cited, Removed in Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Case

(Kennewick, WA) -- Judge Sam Swanberg was in Franklin County Court Tuesday morning where he learned he was being cited for two counts of 4th Degree Assault Domestic Violence. It is a gross misdemeanor. The charges were filed by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. Several other judges met last week and voted to remove Swanberg as Administrative Presiding Judge for the rest of his term. Judge Jackie Shea Brown will step in to fill his term. The Washington State Attorney General's office will prosecute the case.
