Fireworks for the Fourth of July festivities go on sale starting Tuesday in the Tri-Cities.

Pasco Deputy Fire Chief Dave Hare says the dry conditions, it could be a nightmare for his and other fire departments in the region.

He said fireworks not only cause fires but injuries as well. He said the organized displays are the best way to celebrate Independence day. If you plan on buying and setting off fireworks, below are some of the local ordinances.

For Pasco, Prosser and Kennewick fireworks are banned.

Richland -- Fireworks can be used June 28, Noon to 11:00 p.m. June 29 to July 3, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., July 4, 9:00 a.m. to Midnight and July 5, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

West Richland -- Fireworks stands will be open for sales beginning June 28th at 12:00 p.m. and ending on July 6th at 12:00 p.m.  Fireworks can only be set off from July 2nd through July 3rd between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 pm and on July 4th Between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.

Walla Walla County — Sales and discharge permitted from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between July 1-3 and on July 4 from 9 a.m. to midnight.

College Place — Sales start at 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between July 1-4. Fireworks can be used 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 1-3 and from 9 a.m. to midnight on July 4. Discharge permitted from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on July 5.

Walla Walla — Sales start from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between July 1-3 and between 9 a.m. and midnight on July 4. Firework use between 9 a.m. and midnight on July 4.

Waitsburg — Sales and discharge permitted from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between Wednesday and July 4. Sales allowed on July 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and firework use from 9 a.m. to midnight. On July 5, sales allowed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and firework use from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Columbia County — Sales and discharge permitted from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between Wednesday and July 4. Sales allowed on July 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and firework use from 9 a.m. to midnight. On July 5, sales allowed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and firework use allowed from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Dayton — Sales allowed from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Wednesday through July 4.  Discharge allowed from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. between Wednesday and July 3. Discharge allowed from 9 a.m. to midnight on July 4. No discharge allowed on July 5.
