RICHLAND, Wash. - In an effort to adhere to the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Kadlec will close its doors to all visitors, beginning on Tuesday, March 17. The measure is to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The new visitor restrictions apply to all Kadlec facilities, including when someone is in the hospital. Some exceptions will apply, such as children who are admitted, patients who are in labor and patients receiving end-of-life or palliative care.

For the limited exceptions, visitors will be screened at the front door and will only be permitted if they are 18 years or older, free of cold and flu-like symptoms and without a fever.

These visitor restrictions apply to all Kadlec locations including the hospital, emergency departments, urgent or express care clinics, the imaging center, the surgery center and ambulatory surgery center.
