Inslee to Send National Guard to Kadlec, Other Medical Facilities
(Olympia, WA) -- Washington Governor Jay Inslee is deploying National Guard members to help hospitals handle the high number of COVID-19 patients caused by the Omicron variant. The Governor said the guard will assist Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Coronavirus testing operations. Inslee has also paused non-urgent medical procedures, to help relieve the strain on hospitals. COVID-19 hospitalizations in Washington are up 75-percent in recent weeks. Inslee is also asking retired medical workers to temporarily return to the workforce to help fill gaps during the crisis.
