(Seattle, WA) -- Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced a sweeping $800-million proposal to fight homelessness and curb the state's low to moderate income housing shortage. In a Seattle news conference, the Governor told reporters the money would help to pursue new avenues to help people remain in their homes, secure more facilities to provide permanent supportive and affordable housing and transition encamped people to permanent housing solutions. The Governor will present his plan to lawmakers during the next legislative session in January
