AMBER Alert Canceled After Missing Idaho Girl is Found Safe

(Spokane Valley, WA) -- An AMBER Alert has been canceled after a missing 15-year-old girl from Lewiston, ID is found safe, following a brief chase in Spokane Valley Tuesday night. It began around 5:45pm when a tip from a concerned citizen led police to the same Chevy SUV that was reported stolen out of Pomeroy. According to Washington State Patrol, troopers tried stopping the 2007 Trailblazer. It did briefly pull over, but then fled. Troopers briefly lost sight of the SUV but were able to pick it up again, and pulled it over. They found both 15-year-old Lillian Dixon, who was the subject of the AMBER Alert, and the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Jonathan Bowles. Both are now in law enforcement custody. Dixon is said to be okay.
