A 7th person from Benton County has died from COVID-19

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 7. A Benton County man in his 80s died today, due to complications of the virus. All 7 of the deaths in our region have been from Benton County.

New numbers from the Benton Franklin Health District report there are now 189 cases of COVID-19 in our counties. 142 of which, are located in Benton County. The Health District is counting 48 cases as possible positives because of their close association with someone else who did test positive in a lab for the virus.

The number of tests that are negative stands at 845.
