PASCO, Wash.-- A Pasco woman faces charges after investigators say she allegedly sent narcotics to an inmate at the Franklin County Jail.


According to a press release from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, staff members at the jail contacted detectives in July 2020 after receiving bars of soap through the medical unit that had been hollowed out.


Staff members determined that cavity in the soap contained narcotics.


The investigation identified Rosa Castillo-Rodriguez, 75, Pasco, as the suspected person who had planted to the contraband for delivery to a specific inmate.


On January 26th, detectives arrested Castillo-Rodriguez on charges of Introduction of Contraband into a Corrections facility and Possession of a Legend Drug with intent to Distribute.
