Yakima Police Seeking Suspects In Armed Robbery

Yakima Police are looking for two suspects, after an alleged armed robbery Monday, in the 300 block of West Mead Avenue.

The incident happened when a masked man with a handgun entered Smitty’s Conoco at 304 W. Mead Ave, at about 5:30am.  The suspect confronted the store clerk demanding cash.

The employee surrendered the entire register drawer to the robber, who then fled in a silver Acura Integra, which was driven by a second unknown suspect.

Police spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it.  However, a pursuit was initiated.

Officers found the vehicle abandoned near 32nd Avenue and West Mead Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male about 5’10” and weighing 160 pounds, wearing a green bandana and purple hooded sweatshirt.
