
Woman wanted for attacking man with ice pick
A Kennewick man is in the hospital after police say a woman broke into his home in the 100 block of S. Yelm, and attacked him.
"The victim came home and was attacked from behind," said SGT Randy Maynard with the Kennewick Police Department. "He felt like he had been hit in the back, but didn't realize that he had been stabbed with what ended up being identified as an ice pick."
The woman is the widow of the victim's late friend, and had been allowed to stay in the victim's home in the past, though the victim told police there had been no romantic involvement. The suspect, identified as 59-year old Tamara Cooke, has a last known address is in Benton City.
SGT Maynard says the suspect's injuries are serious, including a collapsed lung, but not life-threatening.
Anyone who knows where Cooke might be is asked to contact Kennewick Police.
