Woman injured in Walla Walla shooting

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- One man is in custody after a woman was shot and injured in Walla Walla early Saturday morning.

According to a press release from Walla Walla Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of Walla Walla Ave., where they found a woman on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the back.

Officers arrested the victim's estranged boyfriend, Jordan L. Guerra, 29, for assault in the first degree.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
