Survey shows most WA state seniors financially unprepared for retirement
Are you on a good path towards saving enough money for your retirement?
According to a new survey by the Washington State AARP, about three-quarters of the adults responded were confident they are, despite less than half of the people having set aside less than $25,000 so far.
"We did find that 9% of the respondents said the way to financial stability is to win the lottery, that is a little wishful thinking I'd say!" says Director Doug Shaydell.
He who adds that about two-thirds of those surveyed say they have never calculated how much money they'll need for retirement.
