WGU Washington, the state's online university, topped 10,000 students enrolled for the year, which is the highest number since the university launched in 2011.

The 10,000 student enrolled was a woman from Seattle who is working on her master’s degree in Integrated Healthcare Management this month.

The university says students and alumni live in all 39 counties in the state and work in nearly 4,000 different businesses.

State Legislators created the WGU Washington, in partnership with nationally recognized Western Governors University back in 2011.
