Several toys were found to still be available to buy online even after the toy was recalled, according to the Washington Public Interest Research Group.

Between January 2015 and last month, 44 toys were recalled for a variety of reasons, the most common reason is due to toys posing a choking hazard. Risa Nagel with Washington Public Interest Research Group says not everyone gets the memo about those recall notices.

"In searching for those 44 toys online, Washington Public researchers found 16 of those available for sale," says Nagel.

She says it's important for parents to make sure toys you're buying are safe for little ones by checking consumer toy recall web sites. The list of all the toys recalled is available in the Trouble in Toyland report, starting on page 20.
