WA Has Among Highest Jobless Rates In U.S.
(Spokane, WA) -- Washington's unemployment rate is among the highest in the nation. At three-point-nine percent, that's on par with what it was pre-pandemic. According to June figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 14 states have higher jobless rates, with Pennsylvania, Alaska, Nevada, New Mexico and D.C. rounding out the bottom five.
