Two men are behind bars believed to a part of a drive-by shooting at the Larson Housing Area of Moses Lake Friday.

Grant County deputies say they were called to the Larson Housing area for several reports of shots fired around 8:00 p.m. Friday. Deputies say they found the home on the 1100 block of Larson Boulevard had been hit by one bullet and a car parked outside had also been hit by a bullet. No one was hurt in the shooting.

Deputies learned from witnesses that two vehicles, a dark Honda and a white passenger car, were seen leaving the area shortly after the shots were heard. Deputies say they tried to pull over the Honda but the car drove away leading the deputy on a chase for several blocks.

Deputies say the car finally came to a stop near the 400 block of Pioneer Way and the passenger jumped out and ran. The man was later identified as 21-year-old Brandon Medina Perez of Mattawa. Perez is lodged in the Grant County Jail for altering the identification marking on a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver of the car was 22-year-old Daniel Alcala of Quincy and he faces first degree negligent driving and third degree driving while license suspended.

The investigation continues to see if there is a connection between the two men and the shooting near Larson Housing.
