UMATILLA, Ore.-- One of the two men charged in the death of a Milton-Freewater man is scheduled to make a court appearance this week.


Jonathan Lee McDonald, 32, was arraigned in Umatilla County Circuit Court last week, charged with Second Degree Murder, four counts of First Degree Robbery, seven counts of Second Degree Robbery, one count of Second Degree Burglary, one count of Arson, and a single charge of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. He's being held in the Umatilla County Jail with no bail, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 8, 2020.


Michael James Metcalf, 20, faces more than a dozen charges, including Second Degree Murder, seven counts of First Degree Robbery, four counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a single count of Second Degree Burglary, one count of Second Degree Arson, and one count of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. Metcalf is schedule for a court appearance on May 4, 2020.


The men are the primary suspects in the death of George Martin, who was found shot to death at a home in the 100 block of SE 7th St. back in January. Investigators haven't released a possible motive for the shooting.


According to the Umatilla Count District Attorney's Office, both Metcalf and McDonald are being held without bail.
