(Portland, OR) -- Portland's TriMet is temporarily reducing service on 20 bus lines due to a shortage of bus drivers. The agency says it's dealing with the most severe shortage of drivers in its history, and the change will improve reliability.

In an effort to address the shortage, TriMet recently boosted pay and is offering a $2,500 dollar signing bonus for new drivers.

Riders can get updated schedules at trimet.org.
