
Tri-Cities Airport awarded for energy efficient technology
By the start of next year, the Tri-Cities airport construction will be complete.
The most recent accomplishment, receiving a refund for energy efficient technology from Cascade Natural Gas, which all total could reach $70,000. Friday, Cascade Natural Gas presented the organization with $32,000 for installing efficient boilers and ceiling installation.
"Our guest don't usually get to see these areas of the airport, but they certainty receive the benefit from the improvements to the overall comfort when you are in the terminal," says Foraker.
Airport Director Ron Foraker adds boarding is up 10% from last year and the construction could not have come at a better time. The Port of Pasco$41.9 million airport terminal expansion and modernization project is expected to be finished January 9th.
