2023 state legislative session

Washington state will be joining 19 other states who passed similar moratorium bills.

12th-District Senator Brad Hawkins (R) and 13th-District Senator Shelly Short (R) both voted against this bill when it was in the Senate committee.

Employers will be prohibited from discriminating against an applicant who recreationally uses cannabis outside of work hours, with some exceptions applied.

There are two bills currently in the 2023 state legislative session proposing to make school lunch free of charge for all K-12 students.
