Spokane-based athletic supply store closing Yakima store after buyout

A Spokane-based athletic supply store has been sold to a large distributor of sporting good out of Texas and will be closing all three of its stores, including one in Yakima.

Kimmel Athletic Supply says with BSN Sports buying the company out, the physical stores including one in Yakima, Spokane and Redmond will close.  The company said in a statement they are doing this to focus on the "team customer."

Some of those working on the sales staff for Kimmel will continue to work for the Dallas-based company. There was no date released as to when the stores would be shutting down but the company says they will be having "huge sales."
