A 36-year-old is behind bars in connection with a downtown Moses Lake business burglary.

Officers say they arrested Tony Gonzales from Soap Lake at his home Monday. He is set to be charged with possession of stolen property in the 2nd degree.

They say on August 4th the Red Door Consignments, off 202 W. Third, was burglarized. Officers are still working on a list of what went missing but it appears to be a significant amount of jewelry and cash were taken, as well as, a cash register.

During an investigation, officers were able to identify Gonzales as possessing items stolen in the burglary. Several items stolen in the burglary were recovered at the time of the arrest.

The investigation is ongoing, and other suspects have been identified. It is expected that there will be additional arrests, as well as additional charges filed in the case.
