Update 11/12/2019 3:00pm: Pullman Police are investigating the death of a 19-year old male at a fraternity house near Washington State University.

According to a press release, officers and medics were called to a home at 710 NE Linden Street, which houses the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Fraternity members were performing CPR when paramedics arrived at about 8:35 Tuesday morning. The teen appeared unconscious and was not breathing.

Medics declared the young man deceased at the scene.

Police say the death may be alcohol-related.

The Whitman County Coroner is taking part in the investigation and will determine the official manner and cause of death.

Whitman County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and the Office of the Dean of Students at WSU also responded to offers support and counseling to students.

A spokesperson for the school says Pullman Police are heading up the investigation since the incident happened off campus.

More information about the death will be released once the victim's family is notified.
