(Olympia, WA) -- The Washington State Department of Transportation is notifying 22-hundred people who might have had their personal information compromised. It's unknown whether the data was stolen. The people who might be affected include trainees employed by private contractors between 1986 and 2021 along with participants in the federal On-The-Job Training Program. Their names and the last four digits of their social security numbers were in the database. It did not contain full social security numbers. WSDOT put a security fix on the problem to keep the database from being accessed. Free credit monitoring is being offered to people who were affected.
