A rioter who pleaded guilty to setting a fire inside the Portland Justice Center is being sentenced to 15 months in federal prison. A judge sentenced 33-year-old Edward Schinzing yesterday for the incident in May of 2020. Schinzing was caught on surveillance video setting fire to papers and putting them inside of a desk. Officials say 300 inmates were inside of the Justice Center at the time of the incident and would have been at risk if the fire spread. The fire was put out by the building's sprinkler system.
