A drunken brawl landed one man a hospital visit before being placed behind bars.

West Richland Police say Saturday night two men started throwing punches after a night of drinking, and at one point, one man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the other man. Officers say thankfully no shots were fired and the gun was tossed aside. But the weapon didn't help the man win the upper hand, he was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Officers say he was then booked on 2nd degree assault charges.
