A man is on the run after Kennewick police say he entered a bank, handed the clerk a note demanding money, but took off before getting anything.

Sergeant Bryan Weatherbee with Kennewick police says they were called to the scene around 1:10 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Officers say the bank clerk was handed a note by the suspect which is believed to have been demanding money. When she asked what it said exactly, the man took the note back and left on foot.

Officers say the suspect is described as a Asian male about 5'10" and a thin build. He was wearing a red beanie style cap and a black coat with the hood down and a small backpack.

No one in the bank, including the clerk, was hurt during the attempted robbery.
