PASCO, Wash.-- Earlier this week, the Pasco City Council approved a construction bid to begin the process of building a new $4.7 million fire station for the Pasco Fire Department.

The new station replaces an aging building on Road 68 south of I-182. The new Station 83 will be built at the corner of Sandifur Parkway and Road 76.

The new location for the station puts in a more central location to the growing response area for that station, which is expected to reduce response times for many of the homes and businesses in the area.

The city expects to repurpose the current Station 83 building for other uses.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2020 at 3:00 PM.
