Pasco Police K9 Hapo passes away

PASCO, Wash.-- The Pasco Police Department has lost another police K9.

Officer Rigo Pruneda confirmed that K9 Hapo passed away sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning.

Hapo was nearly eleven years old, and had joined the Pasco Police Department in June of 2013.

Pruneda says Hapo's death appears to be from natural causes, but was unexpected.

The death comes almost exactly three months after the agency lost K9 Lemon due to an ongoing medical condition.

There's no word yet as to whether public services will be held for K9 Hapo.
