Nearly two dozen roads remain closed in Walla Walla County as the result of high water and damaged roadways due to this week's floods.

According to the Walla Walla County Emergency Management Department, the following road remain closed as of 12:10pm Saturday:

  • Scenic Loop at Wichersham Road
  • Last Chance Road at Between West Whitman to Old Highway 12
  • Powerline Road at Cottonwood Creek
  • Dewitt Road- entire road
  • Taggert- entire road
  • Meinburg- entire road
  • Byrnes Road- SR 12 to SR 12
  • Scott Canyon Road- entire road
  • McDonald Road- SR 12 to Detour Road
  • Luckenbill Road- Tourchte North and Yox
  • Dodd Road- East of Brittian
  • Champion Road- Touchet North to Touchet School parking lot
  • Cummins Road- entire road
  • 7-Mile at Bridge
  • Mill Creek Road- Mill Creek Residents ONLY are allowed past Blue Creek Road
  • Bridge is OUT at Mill Creek
  • US 12- closed in both direction from milepost 307/junction of US730 (Wallula Junction) to Touchet Road/milepost 320
  • Wallula Road to Old Highway 12 to Harting Road

There is no set estimated time or day for the when the roads might reopen.

A Level 3 Mandatory Evacuation remains in place for residents on Mill Creek Road, starting at 6549 Mill Creek Road to the Oregon border.

The Red Cross shelter at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds pavilion remains open for those who have evacuated.

The fairgrounds is also accepting livestock requiring shelter, and the Blue Mountain Humane Society is accepting dogs and cats that need someplace safe to stay during the evacuation.
