Kennewick Police: Woman arrested after trespassing, trying to steal dog

A woman is behind bars after police say she walked through several backyards, into a home and tried to steal a dog.

Kennewick police say 24-year-old Braycie Baker was arrested Thursday morning near the 300 block of W. 10th Avenue. Officers say she had been reportedly walking through several backyards before entering a home.

The homeowner confronted her, after a short shouting match, Baker tried to pick up a small dog and walk away. The homeowner was able to shove the woman out the door without the dog.

Officers found Baker nearby and she was uncooperative. Officers believed drugs and alcohol were a factor in this incident.
