RICHLAND, Wash.-- A Kennewick business owner has died after experiencing a medical emergency while hiking on Badger Mountain in Richland Tuesday morning.

Medics were called out to Badger Mountain trail at 6:25 a.m. for a report of a man having difficulty breathing.

Emergency responders called in LifeFlight, but the man, later identified by the Benton County Coroner's Office as Don Pratt, 66, Kennewick, passed away.

Pratt was the owner of Don Pratt Construction in Kennewick, and was an active member of the Home Builder's Association and other community and trade organizations.

Friends say Pratt regularly climbed Badger Mountain in the morning.
