Inmate dies after being admitted to hospital

Another inmate has died while in the custody of the Oregon State Department of Corrections. According to a press release… 29-year old Rigoberto Corono-Avila was taken from Two Rivers Correctional Institution to a Umatilla-area hospital on Saturday afternoon for undisclosed medical care, and died Sunday morning. He’s been in prison since December of 2010 on sex abuse and assault charges out of Marion County, and could have been released in about 6 months.
