"It was pretty horrific. There was lots of smoke damage. The smell was tremendous-- overwhelming."

Nancy Galstad recalls walking through her restaurant on October 19th after it was seriously damaged by fire.

The building's owner is working now to clear out the building in preparation for remodeling in the fire's aftermath. Galstad says her customers have been a huge support to her as she weighed her options about whether to reopen or close down for good.

"It's been tremendous," Galstad said. "Everyone's been very supportive and anxious for us to open. It's a good feeling."

Galstad says nothing has been finalized, and there's still a lot of work to do, but she's hopeful that the restaurant will reopen in late spring or early summer.
