
Finley Fire sends several residents to the hospital
BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-- At least one person was rescued, unconscious, from a burning mobile home fire south of Finley early Friday morning.
Benton County Fire District One responded to a home at 50311 S. Sloan Ct. just after 3:00 a.m. when the property owner reported that the garage was on fire.
He told dispatchers that he was sleeping in a truck outside of the home, while his renters were inside.
Fire crews arrived on the scene and found at least one person unconscious inside the home, and at least two adults and three children evacuated. An 8-year old and the woman were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The mobile home and at least one car were a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
