Early morning fire destroys home in Sunnyside

SUNNYSIDE, Wash.-- A Sunnyside-area family lost their home to fire early Thursday morning.

Firefighters with Yakima County arrived at the home in the 500 block of Ingham in Outlook at about 4:12 a.m. where they found an A-frame home fully engulfed in flames.

Crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading to a detached garage, and did not enter the home to fight the fire due to concerns about the roof caving in.

The home and its contents were a total loss.

The Yakima County Fire Marshal's office is leading the the investigation.

The two residents of the home are staying with family members.
