Death of Benton Co man “Epidemiologically-linked” to COVID-19, no positive test

RICHLAND, Wash. - A second death in the area has been linked to the Coronavirus. According to the Benton-Franklin Health District, a Benton County man has passed away that had an epidemiological link to the person who recently died from the virus.

The man never tested positive for COVID-19, but died before he was linked with a woman who had tested positive for the virus. Officials say the linked case now brings the official Benton County number of cases to 3.

Benton County has reported 48 negative tests and Franklin County has reported 24 negative tests.
