The City of Kennewick Ethics Officer has found sufficient evidence to move forward with a complaint against Mayor Don Britain.

In a copy of a letter obtained by News Radio 610 KONA, attorney Thomas Atwood noted a public hearing should be conducted to determine if Britain violated the city's Code of Ethics.

Three council members filed the complain January 7th alleging an appearance of impropriety. Britain was fired from his job as a Department of Social and Health Services caseworker for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a client and helping her get improper State benefits. Britain has claimed no wrong-doing.
