The 25 Mile Fire, initially burning on the south shore of Lake Chelan near Twentyfive Mile Creek, has expanded south and west of the area in the past several days. Crews are prepared for firing the handline in Division A if the fire advances and threatens the structures near Twenty-Five Mile State Park, as well as continue to improve structure protection in First Creek.

The fire has burned 14 thousand acres and is 37% contained as of this morning.
