OKANOGAN, Wash.-- The second man who escaped from the Okanogan County Jail last week is back in custody.

Sheriff Tony Hawley said Kristofer Wittman, 28, was discovered near a boat launch south of Malaga Wednesday afternoon.

“Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and U.S. Marshall Services worked to be able to locate him. We got information about the location he was at and he’d gone on foot.” explained Wittman, “We were able to track him and bring him into custody (Wednesday) afternoon without incident.”

The other escapee, Christian White, 53, and his accomplice Teresa Lancaster, 54, Gresham, were arrested without incident Tuesday in the Portland area.

In addition to their original charges, White and Wittman now face charges of Escape 2nd degree and Malicious Mischief. Lancaster will be charged with Criminal Conspiracy.
