There were 211 arrests and bookings for impaired driving statewide during the Fourth of July weekend.

In the State Patrol's District #3, which includes the Tri-Cities, the numbers are slightly lower than those arrested for impaired driving during the same period last year which totaled 234.

Kyle Moore with the State Patrol says there has been a spike in the number of drug-impaired drivers. He says last year there were 203 fatal collisions by drug positive drivers compared to 178 in 2014.
